New Camera!!

The other day, my Canon PowerShot A4 decided to quit on me and I understood that it was time to get a new camera. Bigger, faster, better, and way more advanced. And boy oh boy did I hit the jackpot. I end up receiving the Canon Rebel T5. Its the most brilliant camera I have been able to take a picture with. It has an unbelievable sports mode, which I will be using a lot when soccer season come around. I did take a few pictures to share but they don’t really show this camera fascination. If you held it and experienced take the picture yourself, I can guarantee you, you would enjoy it a whole lot. Enjoy!

The macro setting is AMAZING and hopefully saving up for a macro lens is a good idea. ;)

Fall Fair Photos

Every year, I send in pictures to fall fairs around my county. I did great last year, hopping to do better this year, knowing what to expect. Unfortunately, I didn't do so well. I mean I could have done better. Always time for improvement. I have the pics that I sent in this year for you to see! Enjoy! Look at the captions to see their placings.

Trying to Survive...

Well. Where do I start? Ah yes, back at the first soccer tournament for my one (out of two) team. Way back in July. (mind you this team is in a provincial competitive league). I was sprinting down the grassy pitch with the ball and one of the opponents came and charged at me. Of course I was pushed and of course she was pushed. It was all legal. UNTIL, maybe I got a little too aggressive..? She fell to the ground and the ref blew his whistle. Uh oh, I'm gonna get it for sure... And oh did I ever. He warned me if I did it again he would show his yellow card. Half of that was totally acting on her part, for sure. I was kinda upset at this and so was my coach. He told me to chill and don't be as pushy. I understood and slowed it down a bit. About ten minutes later, I'm running down the wing with ball again, and the same girl charges at me. I wasn't being pushy at all this time, just holding myself up with my shoulder against her's. She 'falls' and the ref blows his whistle again. He says the same thing but no more 'second chances' for me this time. The first half ended and the next one started. I was on again playing my usual, left winger. And what do you know! I have the ball and am running down the side again. The same girl charges but this time she's MAD. She really wanted that soccer ball like it was a million bucks. I say 'Nuh uh!' (in my head) and keep running as far as my legs would take me. Suddenly and ever viciously she whips her leg under my right foot and trips me. I landed on my left hip twisting it and smashing my right knee on my left knee. No whistle. and then what does the ref say?! 'Play advantage!' I just gasped at him. I try to get up but realize, somethings wrong with my knee... I just shook it off and went for the girl and the soccer ball.

It's been about 2ish months. My knee still cramps up. With soccer finishing in the middle of September and now track and field, I hope that my knee might take a break (NOT LITERALLY) before I start indoor soccer again in January. I have a knee brace I wear when I run now too. Its a pain (no pun intended)! Besides that, allergies are in season and I have a cold. GREAT! School was going good, until this weekend. Long story short, I happened to be running around and I slipped. I braced myself by putting my hand down on the grass to hold me up. My thumb snapped and bent to touch my wrist! OW! Tip: don't try that ...like EVER. It is taking me forever to type, and even longer to write with a pencil. School's never been harder! The swelling has gone a bit down, and I had it tapped as well. Here's what it looks like at the moment:

Not too bad eh? It's a little crooked but I should survive this one. Do not ask my how I manage to take pictures!! Heehee! Cya around!
